Huseyin GOKCE / an engineer at Ser Elektronik Sistemler Ltd operating in Hacettepe Teknokent, says that they have produced a radio that can record all kinds of radio communications and keep these records up to 3 years. Erhan Evlimoglu, CEO of Ser Group of Companies, stated that since the risk of GSM lines being disabled in disasters is high, they have produced this radio system with recording feature produced by SER group engineers. While Turkey was trying to heal the wounds of the Elazig and Malatya earthquakes, the avalanche disaster in Van once again revealed the importance of uninterrupted communication in rescue efforts. Engineers of Ser Elektronik, who continues their work in Hacettepe Teknokent, produced a wireless voice recorder called Prolupus by adding a smart phone feature to their radio systems. Erhan Evlimoglu, who presented this project for the WORLD, and stated that they developed this device on the basis of the inability to communicate with GSM lines in the event of a natural disaster, when cellular networks are out of order due to overloads. Evlimoglu stated that radio communication systems are critical for many institutions, especially in disasters and emergency situations where other systems are out of service. Despite this, Evlimoglu underlined that there is a deficiency in radio communication and said, "As a result of R&D studies, we have developed an integrated and compact device that can record all kinds of radio communication and does not need any additional hardware or software. “KOSGEB” and Hacettepe Teknokent supported Erhan Evlimoglu, with the support of KOSGEB and Hacettepe Teknokent, the radio voice recorder called “Prolupus” produced within the scope of the project, explained that they can simultaneously record all kinds of radio communications, including analog, digital, VHF or UHF, FDMA/TDMA. Evlimoglu, who emphasized that the device, which can monitor and record up to 8 channels of radio communication at the frequencies used by institutions and organizations, can store radio conversations for about 3 years, said, “If it is opened to cloud access, it offers unlimited storage capacity. With cloud access, it can be accessed from mobile phones, computers, etc. This device was developed by engineers with completely domestic and national resources. “We started to offer radio rental service” Informing that Ser Elektronik has been establishing radio system-infrastructure for public institutions and private sector for nearly 20 years, Evlimoglu emphasized that they have introduced rental services for the first time in Turkey in addition to sales.
